Ruby Scott is months behind on rent and can’t seem to land a steady job. She has one chance to turn things around with a big audition. But instead of getting her big break, she gets sick as a dog and completely bombs it in the most humiliating fashion. All thanks to a mysterious, gorgeous guy who kissed—and then coughed on—her at a party the night before.
Luckily, her best friend might have found the perfect opportunity; a job staying at the lavish penthouse apartment of hotel magnate Bancroft Mills while he’s out of town, taking care of his exotic pets. But when the newly-evicted Ruby arrives to meet her new employer, it turns out Bane is the same guy who got her sick.
Seeing his role in Ruby’s dilemma, Bane offers her a permanent job as his live-in pet sitter until she can get back on her feet. Filled with hilariously awkward encounters and enough sexual tension to heat a New York City block, Shacking Up is sure to keep you laughing and swooning all night long.

5 Hilarious Stars!
Helena is one of my go to authors and I just love her writing. I know that she will deliver a great hilarious read that I will thoroughly enjoy along with a swoon worthy guy. Well she completely nailed it with this one!
I loved Ruby and Bane!! Of all the ways for them to meet and it’s disastrous to start with, but completely hilarious in itself.
Feeling bad for Ruby and all the rotten luck she’s had, which some of it is down to him as well. Bane gives Ruby a place to stay while he goes away on business to look after his pets. For such a hunk of a man, the pets he has will be completely surprise you that’s for sure!
While Bane is away, Ruby and Bane talk about how the pets a doing but things start to get a little more Sizzling between the two the longer he stays away. I loved seeing how their relationship grew with one another even though they were a huge distance apart. I think that has to be my favourite thing about Ruby and Bane’s story. They got to know each other pretty well while apart, do as soon as Bane came back from his business trip, things certainly heated up from there!
If you’ve read any of Helena’s books then you will love this just as much as her others, if not more! If you’ve not read any of her books then I suggest you pick this up now and get to reading! I’m so looking forward to what Helena will write for the next book in this new series and I for one will be one clicking that for sure!
