It’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.
The dumbest thing I’ve ever done.
I loved her. I lost her. Hell, I let her go. And then spent five miserable years without her.
To cope with the loss, I put pen to paper and wrote her a love story, knowing when she was ready she’d hear the words I couldn’t say all those years ago.
Turned out, not only would she hear them, but when Hollywood came calling, I made sure she got the lead role. After all, no one else could portray the character whom she’d inspired.
Now she’s within arms’ reach and finally, she’ll know the truth in my heart.
Because that other cliché, “Actions speak louder than words?”
I’m going to prove it.
My words may have brought Ava Banks back into my life; I have to be enough to make her stay.
Jeremy and Sierra were my favourite couple in Tessa’s Fusion series and the apple sure doesn’t fall far from the tree with their daughter Ava. Tessa has written us an endearing second chance romance that will warm your heart and keep you smiling right up to the very end.
Childhood best friends, Ava & Tucker grew up together, lived next door to each other, were completely inseparable and utterly perfect for each other although it takes a while for them to realise they are more than just friends – well Ava anyway. Finally things begin to develop and then tragedy strikes for Tucker, throwing all their future plans up in the air and tearing them apart whilst Ava heads off to LA alone to pursue her dream of being an actress
Five years later and neither of them have moved on. Both are lonely, nobody else having measured up to the other. Tucker’s silence has all but destroyed Ava and she hasn’t been home in 4 years. A call from her agent changes everything when she is offered the lead role in a new blockbuster film based on a best selling book and its based in her home town. When her room mate insists she read the book, it all rings a little bit close to home.
With Ava’s return, Tucker is determined to do everything to win back his girl but he can’t help but question whether she is going to up and leave him again. Ava however has realised how much she has missed home and most importantly, Tucker and has set her mind on putting things right.
I absolutely love a second chance romance and one of the things i loved about this one is that there were no cliches in this story whatsoever. Words I Couldn’t Say is a story of real love, the kind of love that lasts a lifetime, transcends time and what life throws at you. Ava & Tucker were both great characters – she was strong and determined and he was completely swoon worthy and the lengths he went to to win her back extreme but will make your heart flutter. Fan’s of Tessa’s Fusion series are going to love this spin off but this can totally be read as a standalone for those who haven’t and i personally loved the chance to see some of my favourite characters again.
