L.A. Fiore: Collecting The Pieces Release Blitz & Review

At fifteen I fell in love. His name was Jake Stephens and he took the abandoned, lonely girl I had been and made me whole. His love was a pure and unconditional love that made every day better than the last…a fairy tale of my very own.

But this story isn’t about Jake. It’s about Abel Madden; the man I meet after the fairy tale goes to hell. A cocky, arrogant man who says what he wants, does as he pleases, and makes no excuses for it. He irritates me—downright pisses me off at times—but he also brings me back to life.
My name is Sidney Ellis and this is my story of finding love twice—the first when I needed it most and the second when I never saw it coming.

4.5 Emotionally Beautiful Stars!

When I read the blurb for this book I just knew that I was going to be in for one hell of an emotional ride. Having read L.A. Fiore’s work before I know how much she puts into her work and how she can just grab the readers attention and suck you completely in. This she certainly did with Collecting The Pieces!

Now to try and give you a little bit about the book without spoiling the story too much.

Sidney Ellis doesn’t have the greatest start in life, she’s a foster kid and growing up in the system is a lonely place. All Sidney craves for is a family to love her unconditionally but she doesn’t get that with her foster family. All that changes when she starts high school and meets Jake Stephens. Jake is the turning point in Sidney’s life, he slowly begins to mend the broken pieces that is Sidney’s heart.

But what we learn pretty quickly is that not all loves are meant to be, some are just for that time in your life.

Now older and I believe much more wiser this is when Sidney meets Abel Madden.

He is the complete opposite of Jake, where Jake is patient and sweet, loving and caring. Abel is rough around the edges, doesn’t take any crap from anyone and gets things done. But you can’t help but fall for the rugged man that he is. He is just what Sidney needs, she just doesn’t realise it yet.

This is a story about love, loss and second chances. It ripped my heart out but slowly put it back together again. Another fantastic read from Liz that I highly recommend! 4.5 Stars from me!
