They call me a slut. Maybe I am.
Sometimes I do things I despise.
Sometimes men take without asking.
But I have a musical gift, only a year left of high school, and a plan.
With one obstacle.
Emeric Marceaux doesn’t just take.
He seizes my will power and bangs it like a dark note.
When he commands me to play, I want to give him everything.
I kneel for his punishments, tremble for his touch, and risk it all for our stolen moments.
He’s my obsession, my master, my music.
And my teacher.
Dark Notes by Pam Godwin
Ivory is a student trying to navigate the world and get a prestigious place at Leopold. A dream tha she has had for years. She’s so determined to get what she wants regardless of anyone else. When she meets her new and seriously hot teacher, she gets confused. She can’t understand her feelings for him. As she tries to manoeuvre her way through the shambles of her life she finds that she is moving closer and closer to Emeric
Emeric has this instant and unexplainable attraction to Ivory. He has a shrouded and slight sinister background in regards to his previous job. His new role is also full of deception and blackmail. There are moments where the blackmail tends to dictate the course of the story but then again it’s not a bad thing.
Emeric takes Ivory on a journey of self discovery and brands her emotionally and physically as his girl. I have to say I really liked the way he did. He knows what he wants and needs. Ivory loves him. Emeric protects her from the people who want to do her harm and in this book there are quite a few of those!
The steamy scenes lit up my kindle. Emeric takes Ivory on a sensual journey and she’s only too happy to let him lead her along the way. They are in a forbidden romance but honestly it feels so right that they be together!
I really enjoyed the different tone & will read more from this author!
