When faced with broken love…Have you ever had the feeling you were a stranger?
She was supposed to be my light.
Lake and Keiran are perfectly messed up and therefore perfectly suited for each other. They’re in love and they don’t hide it. However their past does affect them majorly within this book. Lake’s past actions comes back to haunt her in this book. She was involved in the “murder” of Keirans father. I don’t call it murder when he’s an evil man but I digress. His death causes a lot of drama and upheaval.
Lake is arrested and then released and then arrested again. It goes back and forth but as you read the story you get why Lake has to do this. She had to be the one to protect Keiran and to protect the life that they’ve built for themselves.
At the end of it all I always truly believed that Keiran and Lake would be together because for either of them imagining a life where they’re not together doesn’t seem possible. They’re perfect for each other. Within this book we get my Keenan and Sheldon plus Kennedy with her adorable way of calling Keiran (Uncle Keke!) along with Dash and Willow. They’re involved with all the drama but there’s also laughter and tears.
This book is not about the drama in my eyes per se. It’s about how they band together to protect the life that they’d spent so long building. I love this gangs and their broken love for each other. It is an amazing end to a memorable series.
BB has grown so much as a writer and is now an automatic one click for me. I’m sad that it’s over but we will see them again in another book down the line. Thank you BB for these characters and that ending.
Bebe has always wondered about the existence of her talent. When she finally decided to pick up a metaphorical pen and start writing, she found a new way to embrace her passion.
She favors a romance that isn’t always easy on the eyes or heart, and loves to see characters grow–characters who are seemingly doomed from the start but find love anyway.
